Deadlines:
- The final deadline for entry forms is 1-2-2007
- The final deadline to receive tapes is 15-2-2007
- The deadline for the exhibitions is 30-1-2007
- Productions taking part in the Festival competitions and side screenings are limited to documentary films.
- Only films completed after January 1st, 2005 will be accepted.
- A participant may only have one entry in each category (short, medium and long.)
- Participating films should either be in Arabic or English. If in another language, works should be translated, dubbed, or subtitled into either of the two languages.
- Participants should send a copy of the film (on Betacam SP or DigiBeta PAL), PLUS a complete copy on VHS cassette or DVD PAL.
- Every film copy sent to the Festival should carry the title, name of director, and his/her email.
- Before films are sent,allcommercials,advertisements, trailers, and promotional material should be removed from the footage.
- Participants allow brief sections of their works to be shown on TV or the Internet in order to promote the Festival.
- No films will be returned to owners. Films will be kept in the Festival film library for the sole purpose of research, documentation, and education.
- Costs of sending films to the Festival will be covered by the participant.
- Films that have competed in previous Aljazeera Festivals may not compete again.
- People working with Aljazeera Int'l Documentary Film Festival are not eligible to take part in competitions.
- Festival Management is solely responsible for the decisions outlined above.
- Festival Management reserves the right to accept or reject any entries, without offering any reasons or explanation.
- By participating, participants automatically agree to the conditions outlined herein.
- Films which do not meet competition conditions may be shown in side screenings. The Festival Management reserves the right to decide whether
a work will be screened or not.
